Put up your hand, everyone who had KD for lunch?

Okay, now put up your hand if you ate the KD out of the pot with a wooden spoon, while leaning on the counter? I remember when luch wasn't necessarily at lunch time, when it had exotic ingredients, when it didn't involve a somewhere with a play place - and most of all, when it was quiet... I know that everyone has moments like these, but how come, when you decided to have children, everyone was so happy? Why did no one come forward and say "Hey, you might want to rethink that. Kids will bring you your greatest moments of joy, but they will also rip your brain to shreds. Get a dog."
